National WWI Museum & KC Rail Experience
May, 30, 2012
This morning we visit the renovated Liberty Memorial and National World War I Museum. The museum offers world-class historical collections, artifacts and exhibitions. The museum is the only museum in the United States dedicated to the Great War and is filled with armament, and photographs telling more than an American story, it covers the time period leading up to the war, the entire war and the nations involved. An experience sure to touch your soul.
Next is a visit to Union Station, truly a Kansas City gem. The Station is an example of the glory days of train travel and how it can be renovated for modern times. Learn about its rich history and see the incredible restoration of early 20th century architecture.
